Long before Touchstone Energy decided on the motto “the power of human connections,” the employees and directors of Oklahoma’s Electric Cooperatives knew the true meaning of this phrase and demonstrated it by volunteering at the Special Olympics Summer State Games each May. Co-op volunteers have worked at these games for more than 25 years and are especially pleased to participate each year at the games in Stillwater.
Usually around 120 volunteers from co-ops across the state – from Hooker to Idabel and from Vinita to Sayre and Marietta – come for the three days and have braved all kinds of weather to honor and assist the athletes who had come to compete in the Games. |
